Your health information is personal. Circle sharing is optional and controlled per metric. Account uploads and circle sharing are separate settings. You can delete uploaded data or your account from the app.
Who operates Pulse Circle
Arya Dhrangdhria operates Pulse Circle, an Android health and fitness sharing app, and these Pulse Circle web pages. This policy explains how information is accessed, used, stored and shared when you use them. Contact: adhrangdhria8@gmail.com.
Information we access and collect
Google sign-in and your profile
Google provides your account identifier, name, email address, email verification status and profile picture, when available. We keep account and session records to identify you and maintain sign-in. Authentication records may include tokens, expiry times, IP address and user-agent information. Pulse Circle does not receive your Google password or request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar or contacts.
Your app profile includes your display name, time zone and an installation identifier used to manage synchronization. We store circle names, membership, invitations and your sharing choices.
Health Connect
With the Android permissions you grant, the app reads steps, sleep sessions and stages, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability (RMSSD), and heart-rate records. It processes available records, timestamps, source-app identifiers and device metadata on your phone to provide summaries, trends and source/compatibility information. An initial read covers approximately the previous 29 days, followed by updates. Optional background access keeps data current when the app is not open.
When you are signed in and uploads are enabled, daily steps, sleep duration, resting heart rate and HRV summaries are sent to your Pulse Circle account along with their date, time zone, source, device information, measurement time and HRV method. Uploading to your account is separate from sharing with circles: summaries can upload even when no circle sharing is enabled. Health Connect records are not obtained through your Google sign-in permissions.
Live heart rate
If you start live sharing, the app accesses a compatible Bluetooth sensor and sends the latest heart-rate reading, device label, timestamps and session information for the circles you selected. The server updates the latest reading rather than keeping a stream of raw readings. When a stop request reaches the server, the reading is cleared; session metadata can remain until deletion. If connectivity is lost, the last reading may remain stored until a stop request or replacement session, and readings older than ten seconds are marked stale.
Device storage, support and technical information
The phone stores health-record data, cached summaries, source choices, settings, sign-in information and pending synchronization requests. If you contact us, we receive the information you include. Hosting and authentication systems process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, routes, device/browser information and errors to deliver and protect the service. The app may also request release information and download an update when you choose.
How we use information
- Create and secure your account and recognize your active installation.
- Calculate and display health summaries and trends.
- Manage private circles, invitations, your sharing choices and leaderboards.
- Deliver live readings to the circles you select.
- Synchronize updates, provide app updates, investigate failures and respond to support or deletion requests.
We do not sell personal or health information, use it for advertising, provide it to data brokers, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. We do not use health information for insurance, lending or employment decisions.
Storage, security and retention
The app connects to its service over HTTPS. Account authentication and server-side membership/sharing checks control access to health information. Data is stored on your phone and in the hosted database; it is not end-to-end encrypted between circle members. No storage or transmission system is completely secure.
Account records, uploaded summaries, circle membership and live-session metadata remain until you remove them or your account. The app currently has no automatic age-based deletion of uploaded summaries; the displayed trend window is not a retention limit. A completed data-deletion request removes your summaries, live sessions and sharing permissions from the active database. Account deletion additionally removes your identity, sessions, profile, memberships and circles you own.
Infrastructure logs, support correspondence and provider backups may persist separately for operational, security or legal purposes and expire under the applicable provider or support retention process. We do not promise that active-database deletion immediately erases every backup or log copy. Contact us about retention details for your request.
Your choices and deletion
- Control circle access: change individual metric sharing choices, stop live sharing or leave a circle. An owner can delete their circle.
- Revoke Android permissions: use Health Connect and Android settings to remove health, background or nearby-device access. This stops future access covered by those permissions; it does not itself erase previous uploads.
- Delete uploaded data: in Pulse Circle, open Settings → Delete uploaded data. This removes uploaded health summaries, live sessions and sharing grants, clears app caches and pauses uploads until you explicitly resume them. Your account and circle memberships remain.
- Delete your account: open Settings → Delete account and confirm. This also deletes circles you own. It does not delete other members’ accounts or their own health records.
- Disconnect Google: manage Pulse Circle access in your Google Account connections. Disconnecting Google or signing out does not itself delete your Pulse Circle account or previous uploads.
Pulse Circle does not delete original Health Connect records or records held by your wearable/source apps. Manage those through the respective service. App storage may contain locally processed health records; clear Android app storage or uninstall to remove local app data.
If you cannot access the app, email adhrangdhria8@gmail.com with “Pulse Circle account deletion” and your sign-in email. We may ask you to verify control of the account. Do not send passwords, tokens or health records. Full deletion instructions.
You can also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, or to raise a privacy concern. Applicable rights depend on where you live.
Google and Health Connect data
Pulse Circle’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements where applicable. Health Connect information is used for the health and fitness features described here and shared according to your choices. We do not use it for advertising or sell it. Any new data access or materially different purpose will be explained and, where required, separately consented to before it begins.

These Pulse Circle information pages do not use advertising cookies or analytics scripts and do not require sign-in. The hosting provider receives ordinary request information to serve the pages. The app’s authentication service stores session information and may use essential cookies for browser-based authentication. External sites linked from these pages have their own privacy practices.
